D-West Football Play Free
Voluntary Random Drug Testing Program

A voluntary, random, drug testing program is now available to all West football players to help our boys play free of drugs and alcohol. The program is completely voluntary and test results are shared exclusively with the parents/guardian. The results will not be shared with Downingtown West High School  or its officials, or anyone other than the parents/guardian listed on the consent form.

OPT-IN CONSENT FORM

Consequences of a positive drug screen will be determined by a player’s parents/guardians. Parents can share their son's results with the head Coach if desired and/or reach out to the high school for additional counseling or services. Community and school resources are provided below.  There is no cost to participate in this program.

The goals of this program include:

  • provide parents with an opportunity to monitor the well-being of their child
  • help parents be informed
  • give parents a tool in the fight against teenage drug and alcohol use
  • give our players another reason to "say no"
